Blog Tour for A Baby for the Viking Wolf by Gwen Knight

With great passion comes great responsibility...
Lucy Tullet's entire world has imploded, thanks to the two soft pink lines staring back at her. As a professional party-girl, she never considered settling down and having kids. Until she meets the blood wolf—a renowned Viking vampire hunter with a mysterious past—and spends the night in his arms. Now, thanks to him, everything has changed. Not only are there vampires running amok in town, hunting Lucy and her unborn child, but the blood wolf has staked his claim, determined to both protect her and take her as his mate.

"Lucy," he repeated as he studied my face. "A lovely name for a lovely woman."I cleared my throat and stepped back, putting space between us. "Are you here as a bachelor then?"Bemusement tugged on his mouth. "I'm flattered. But no." "So, if you aren't here as a bachelor, and you're not part of the European pack…" I let my sentence dangle with the hope that he'd answer my unspoken question. What other reason could there be for his presence? Unless…understanding dawned. "Are you here to bid on one of the bachelors?" Surprise widened his dark eyes, and he choked back a laugh. "Uh, no. While I'm sure they're fine men, they're not the one I'm interested in." Heat spread through my cheeks. "Um. We'll just…be elsewhere," Bailey said. "Like, over there. Yeah, over there works." "What?" Evelyn asked. "Come on, dummy." Bailey grabbed Evelyn's arm and wrenched her toward the bar. The blush spread down the back of my neck. Within five minutes, the entire pack would hear about this. Those two women were the absolute worse sort. Gossip was like air to them. "So." I shot him another look, my tongue suddenly heavy in my mouth. This was ridiculous. I wasn't the sort who gummed up in front of a man. I was the sort who took initiative, who dragged them out onto the dance floor for a good time, who used them, then ditched them the next morning. Yet, here I stood, nervously fiddling with my glass, my mouth drier than the desert. All because Mr. Europe was hotter than hell itself. I cleared my throat and tried again. "What are you here for then?" His brows furrowed. "I came to see someone. But they didn't show." A woman someone? I wanted to ask. Except, the words died in my throat. "And you're really not part of the European pack?" "No." He chuckled, the expression lighting up his face. I loved the sound of it, deep but gentle, as though he laughed a lot. "In fact, I only arrived in America this afternoon." My lips parted. "Wow. You even managed to score a sweet tux, too. Impressive." He bowed his head. "I aim to please." "Did you come to America to meet this friend of yours?" "I did. Guess that won't be happening tonight, though." "And this friend…" Just ask! "A female friend?" His smile broadened, flashing a pair of dimples. "No. Just an old friend. But he's not here, and you are. So, I call that a win." I ducked my head, the bunnies in my stomach launching into full-blown butterflies. Damn it, stop playing coy! Reagan often called me a man-eater. Time to put up or shut up. "Well then." I handed my empty glass to the next server who strode by and grabbed two fresh drinks, handing him one. "If you're not from the European pack, then I offer you my sincerest apology for the way I spoke to you earlier." "That so?" His mouth ticked upward. "I'm honored. I get the impression you don't apologize often." "I'm not often wrong," I said with a playful wink. "Ah, beauty and brains, then?" Before I could respond, he plowed onward. "I take it you're here to bid on one of these fine gentlemen tonight?" "Yup." Not that I wanted to anymore. The only devilishly handsome werewolf I wanted to play with was the one standing in front of me. "You sure you're not supposed to be up there?" "Do you want me to be?" Most definitely. I'd bid every last cent on him. Problem was, from the many hungry glances sliding his way, I wasn't the only one interested. And I wasn't known for sharing. After a moment's consideration, I shook my head. "No, you don't belong up there." He clutched at his chest. "You wound me, madam!" "It's for your protection, and everyone else's too. I wouldn't want to have to kill everyone who bid on you just to get what I want." He stepped closer, his scent overwhelming my senses. "I'm intrigued. What is it you want?" "You tell me," I murmured, my voice taking on a husky note. His fingers brushed against mine, teasing, taunting…playing the game. I gave a slow blink and lifted my gaze to his, my mouth curling into a sensuous smile. "I know what I want," he said. "Do tell." Without warning, he cupped the back of my head and brushed his lips against mine. Slowly at first, tasting what I had to offer. Teasing me with the promise of something more. I'd expected him to ravish my mouth, but instead, he took the time to seduce me. Heat spread through my body, and my damn knees buckled. His touch feathered against my bare back, eliciting a shiver unlike anything I'd ever experienced. My whole body attuned to his, and he'd done little more than offer a chaste brush of our lips. We parted, my chest heaving beneath my dress. His gaze dipped to my plunging neckline, his eyes sparkling at the sight of my flushed skin. "I have a room upstairs," he rasped. Hallelujah. Because we sure as hell wouldn't make it back to my place. "Only if you're interested." I laughed. "You damn well know I'm interested." "Now?" Screw the auction. Gabriel had sent me to smooth over the press, and to donate money to a good cause. Neither of which I'd done. But I'd already won the night as far as I was concerned, without spending a single cent. I could easily donate the money without bidding. I licked my lips, excitement dancing in my stomach. "Now," I murmured. "Right fucking now." He flashed me a grin. "A woman after my own heart."

Review for Hidden Moon (The Keeper Saga Book 1) by KR Thompson

 Hidden Moon by K.R. Thompson

Blurb:

When 17 year old Nikki Harmon moves to Bland, Virginia, she expects her new life will be as dull as the town's name.

But she finds that not everything is as it seems and the forest surrounding her new home holds secrets—one of them being a centuries-old Indian legend, carefully guarded by Adam Black Water, the leader of a pack of boys known as the Keepers.

Nikki will soon discover that the forest holds more magic and danger than she ever dreamed possible as a killer lurks on the Appalachian Trail. As she searches for the truth, she will unearth the darkest secret of all.

But will she lose her heart? Or will she lose her life?

Review:
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I really liked this book. It's a paranormal YA and not one that pushes the limits of whether your teen should read it or not. Nikki is 17 and moving to a different place after the death of her father. As podunk as it seems to be, this new place hides all sorts of mysteries and fantastical creatures. Nikki herself is not what she thinks she is. When she arrives, she meets Brian, the all around good guy who has taken an interest in her. And then there's Adam, who lives on the reservation. Adam who has secrets of his own. I will admit that at first this sounded way too much like Twilight, but then it took a left turn into something way different and I like that. A great read!

Lycan Gladiator (Wolf Maiden Saga Book 1) by Eva Gordon

Review:

Lycan Gladiator can be termed a historical romance and a paranormal romance seeing as to how the book takes place in ancient Rome during a time where people were brutalized regularly for sport in the arena either by other people or beasts.  This time period never was a favorite of mine due to the blood shed that happened and because of the cruelty people endured.  Certain groups such as Christians were especially targeted for the arena or some other type of execution.  This book brings that world to life while adding shifters to the mix, making it an even more volatile combination.  The story of two people who fall in love even through their difficult circumstances is a good summing up of Lycan Gladiator.  Cassia and Ulric are both slaves but to two very different masters.  Ulric was meant to be an alpha with a pack of his own.  He is a good man who is surrounded by the worst of circumstances as he is forced to fight in the arena for his master so as to keep those he cares about from harm.  His master's wife constantly tries to take him to bed, but he refuses.  The master's son was quite the spoiled brat until an unfortunate accident almost killed him, bringing him and Ulric into close contact with Cassia since she is a physician of sorts and a very special woman.  She has power like no other and has worked hard to keep who she is a secret.  Well that secret will be revealed, but not before Ulric has fallen for her.  A great and entertaining read, there were still some areas left rather vague and as always, there are questions left unanswered.

4 out of 5 stars!

Cade (A Society Novel) by Mason Sabre

Bio
My name is Mason Sabre. I have been writing since I was a small child and discovered I could have a million adventures at the stroke of my pencil (I wasn't allowed to use pen back then). I have written more stories than I could even publish, some of them I wouldn't ever put out, but I have had a blast writing them. I love writing, I love reading. I love to have a fictional adventure. When I am not doing that I am with my children or studying. I have a lifelong love of learning too.
I live in the North of England. It's a little chilly here and a little wet, but it is what I call home and where pretty much all of my stories are based.

REVIEW: Howl at the Moon (A Liarus Detective Novel) by L.A. Starkey

Review:

I just finished reading this book and I really enjoyed it!  It is a YA read with none of the cursing or any bad scenes in it.  This would be safe to let your older child read.  However, it does have some paranormal elements to it so if you have rules on that then you should read it yourself before determining if this book is for your child or if they are old enough to read it.  Otherwise, I found it quite entertaining!  Let's just say that these three friends (Ben, Jake, and Leah) are in for the adventure of their life and it's one that is life altering, especially for Ben.  It's also quite funny in some places because you see the awkwardness of being an eight grader and figuring out your emotions and sometimes making some bad decisions.  When I mean bad decisions I don't mean teen drinking; I mean stepping into the world of the paranormal and not being able to go back.  It was a fantastic read and I would very much recommend this one!

Blurb:

Eighth graders, Ben, Jake and Leah need cash, and mowing lawns in the winter just isn’t cutting it. Their need for cash births the Liarus (Liars R Us) Detective Agency! Their first client is Old Lady Smitz, who is said to have murdered her three sons and husband. She’s missing a family heirloom, but it’s not just any old trinket, it’s the crest of Lykoi. There are only two rules: No girls are allowed and never seal a deal with the witch doctor. Disregarding danger, these three discover that money is usually more trouble than it’s worth!

Run (Caged Trilogy Book 1) by H.G. Lynch

Running through the woods one night, Tilly takes a nose dive and ends up in a werewolf camp.  She had been running for her life from the women who had adopted her when she was a young child.  They were witches and they were very cruel to her, making her raise demons and basically torturing her when she didn't do as told.  That had been her life for years until she escaped and then was rescued by Spencer, the black sheep of the werewolf camp.  He was the son of the alpha, but his mother had run off with him and when she died, Spencer was brought back to his father to live.  He had been a small child when he came back and his father didn't treat him as nicely as his half-brothers, taking out his years of anger and frustration of his son instead.  Tilly connects with Spencer like no one else in the camp, but insists that she doesn't care for him.  Spencer's half-brother, Dominic, has been getting very close to her and it makes Spencer jealous.  Realizing he has feelings for Tilly is a fight for him since she is always with Dominic.  To make matters worse, no one knows what Tilly is or what she's running from, but it could put them all in danger.

I love rooting for the under dog.  Those kind of books suck me in and I couldn't put this one down.  I read it in one day.  It was fascinating to watch the romance between Tilly and Spencer grow even though they keep trying to push the other away.  And things only get more complicated when the past comes out to play, but Spencer never abandons her.  He is always there for her.  It's sweet considering how distant he is to everyone else.  He's a very complicated character.  Tilly, however, is a rather naive girl since she was guarded and put under lock and key for years.  So having boys all over her like that is something new that she must sort out for herself.  Her feelings are confusing and I could see where they would be for someone who's never even had a boyfriend before.  This is a must read!!!

5 out of 5 stars!!!

Book Blurb:

Tilly is a witch...at least, she thinks she is. All she really knows is that she
has powers she shouldn't, and that the cruel women she escaped
from - who definitely are witches - will stop at nothing to make her their
prisoner again because of those powers.

But Tilly has fallen in with a strange group - a pack of werewolves. The pack
wants to protect her; none of them more so than Dominic, the alpha's
kind-hearted son. Tilly thinks she might be falling for him, but she can't help
being fascinated by his brooding, mysterious half-brother Spencer.

Caught between the two, Tilly isn't sure anymore what she's most scared of:
the witches hunting her down, or her own heart betraying her.

Hollow Pit (A Pushed World Novella: Book One) by Tim O'Rourke

If any of you have ever read any of the Kiera Hudson books and have any idea just who Jack Seth is then you will enjoy this book.  It brings out a whole new side to Jack that you haven't seen that much of if you read the first Kiera Hudson series.  Although we are always aware that he is a complicated character, for a while I also just thought that he was a cold-blooded killer.  He is a wolf.  And the wolf tends to rule those that it lives within.  The wolf loves gruesome killing.  But in this book we see Jack desperately trying to overcome the wolf who is clamoring to get out and take over once again.  But Jack doesn't want to go back to that life, even if this life is a new one because he was pushed (killed).  He and Nik, his younger brother, end up here in a wasteland that looks like the apocalypse happens.  Following some railroad tracks brings nothing but more wasteland for a long ways.  They are both thirsty and starving.  The interesting thing is that their eyes no longer burn with the smolder having the wolf within brings.  At first you wonder if maybe their other side has gone, but it isn't, not in Jack anyway.  The voice in his head comes back loud and clear.  As for Nik, one just has to wonder.  The first people the two of them come upon are a sheriff and a girl, both ripped to shreds.  Apparently even in this new world they live in, there are monsters, possibly other wolves or the Vampyrus that were in the Hollows.  They keep traveling and find a small "town" with people who are terrified of the monsters outside.  They live in a place surrounded by a wall of debris that has been welded together to keep things out.  This poor town offers them food and a room in return for help around the town where it is needed.  They end up helping the people fix the wall, but get a huge surprise when they find out what the town deputy is and what she is hiding.  What's worse is the horrific murder that happens while Jack and Nik are there.  It is obviously a monster that did it.  The question is what type?  Nothing is as it seems in this novella.  And for it to be a short story, not only does it pack a punch but it has its surprises!
