She’ll spare no one and stop at nothing to secure her vengeance.

As Mercer’s third in command, Blossom is drowning in secrets. She’s lying to her boss, her friends, her allies, her lovers. She’s playing both sides and hoping to have both her life and her happiness by the end. But one misstep will mean showing her colors before she loses everything.

Reviews:

R.S. McCoy’s fertile imagination takes us back into a world where good struggles against evil and love will be tested against the darkness of hate. This entire series has been a journey into another world that is both exciting and amazing to be part of. The Snow Owl is like the dessert after a feast of words, the perfect ending to a perfect meal! Tome Tender

The Snow Owl conclusion to the Alder Tales series kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters in this book as well as all previous have kept me intrigued and wanting so much more from them, I will miss them all. Bookish Sally

So much going on but the author does a wonderful job of tying it all together nice and neat by the end of the book. A great ending too! Clarice's Book Nook

Title: Hale and Gemini
Author: RS McCoy
Genre: Paranormal Romance/Fairytale Reimagining
Cover Designer: Kit Foster Design
Release Date: July 18, 2017

Blurb:

The third son of the Bear Clan, Hale thought he had his life figured out. He had a stunning bride, his iron faith in the Mother, and has spent the last five years training to be the future clan leader. But when his life comes crashing down around him, Hale knows he can’t stay home.

Leaving behind everyone he’s ever known, Hale is alone with his thoughts as he crosses the Alderwood in search of his sister. Then Gemini—the clan flirt and known gossip—follows him, demanding his protection. She’s just as determined to leave her life behind. Hale doesn’t know what made her leave her sisters or suitor, but he has no choice but to continue with a helpless girl at his side. Neither ever expected just how dangerous the Alderwood could be.

Oblivious of Hale’s departure, Parson and Raene travel to Terrana to ask political favors in exchange for their clan leader’s freedom, but lingering injuries threaten their arrival—and their lives. They’ll need the help of an unlikely ally if they hope to succeed.

Review:

This has to be one of my favorite series! I love how different it is to anything else I have read. It's kind of like twisting together Hunger Games with shape shifters. Why Hunger Games? Because of how they are divided into districts. And the districts are each different. I see the same thing in this series but with totally different elements. I love how they are all shape shifters as adults because of a shot they receive, which gives each person their totem. Some shocking things about Blossom's totem comes out in this book and I was so happy to see the whole gang featured in this book. Hale and Gemini have quite the story and it is by far not a traditional relationship/story with those two. The end is a complete cliff hanger that left me wanting to yell, "No!!!" But overall, it was a great read!
5 out of 5 stars!!

***NEW RELEASE***

Title: Raene and the Three Bears
Author: RS McCoy
Genre: Urban Paranormal Romance

Blurb:

A golden-haired beauty with a tiger totem, Raene Randal is powerless to stop the dissolution of her life. Her uncle and best friend, Kaide, is sending her away for good. While Raene knows his actions are fueled by the sudden and unexplained loss of his bride, Blossom, that doesn’t change the fact that her future is certain. As the niece of a Pyro politician, it’s Raene’s duty to cross the realm and fulfill her marriage arrangements with an Alderwood Bear Clan.

The rest of her life is mapped out, but Raene has one choice left: to choose a husband from the sons of the Bear Clan’s leader—too bad she’s not interested in any of them. She knows her duty, but so far from her home and everyone she knows, Raene finds keeping her promises harder than she ever thought.

On the far side of the realm, Blossom knows nothing of Kaide’s implosion or Raene’s departure. She’s trapped in the Aero city at the whim of Syndicate Mercer. REVIEW:
Boy, what can I say about this one besides that it's an awesome follow up to the first book?? Because it is! And it leaves you wanting more, so much more. I mean, I have so many questions that I won't reveal so I don't spoil things. Raene is a really awesome Pyro chick who gets her tiger totem, but has trouble handling the volatile animal within from the very beginning. She hurts someone she cares deeply about in the process. Then suddenly her uncle, Kaide, is sending her away to the Alderwood to Blossom's family to choose a husband among the Frane sons who are bears. Each very different in their own right, of the three, only two are available and they are as different as night and day. One has it in his head that she's meant for him and the other thinks he's no good for her and pushes her away. The choice seems simple taken at face value, but it's really not and no one is as they seem in this book. Especially on Blossom's end as she attempts to adjust to the hard life in Aero. I'm already excited about what's coming next!

Release Day and Review for The Lethal Agent (Extraction Files Book 2) by RS McCoy

The Lethal Agent (Extraction Files Book 2)
by RS McCoy

Blurb:

Mable Wilkinson is close to getting everything she ever wanted. She has a home in a facility in New York, a job extracting parasitic insects, and she's even made some friends. If she can keep up this pace for a few years, she’ll earn a lifetime of security for herself—and for Hadley.

But that doesn’t mean her job is easy. Each time she begins to discover something about the bugs, they strike again, wreaking havoc on the world. Researchers are dying with increasing frequency, and Mable is powerless to stop it.

As the mounting bug attacks threaten to destroy humanity, Mable realizes she’s out of time. Her team has only days to find a solution before the human race loses its homeworld—if the bugs don’t infect them first.

A new sci-fi romance from RS McCoy, author of The Sparks Saga, The Alder Tales, and The Luminary Chronicles.

Book Two of The Extraction Files

Review:
WARNING: SOME SPOILERS.
I'll be honest, I had mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, I love the idea of bugs burrowing into people and controlling their actions and on occasion their thoughts. It's totally gross and nasty but cool and makes for a great science fiction read. And this book was quite fascinating in that degree. However, the relationships between some of the characters were a bit confusing at times. And I kind of felt like the whole reason behind the bugs would be a little more complicated than it was. Now, if you don't particularly like spoilers, you might not want to read further just for good measure. The one thing that hit me hardest was Abraham's(Alex) story. After following him for two books, I did not particularly like how things ended on that end. He and Mable's son felt like unfinished business even after what happened to them. Perhaps it was because the colony they were on was so isolated and I didn't understand the need for their long tracking story once I knew how it ended. That being said, I enjoyed reading The Lethal Agent and especially liked how much of a family atmosphere the group had at the end.

Release Blitz for The Killing Jar by R.S. McCoy

Title: The Killing Jar
Author: RS McCoy
Genre: Science Fiction Romance
Cover Designer: Kit Foster Design
Release Date: June 28, 2016

Blurb:

Earth is dying, circling the drain on life support. The future of the human race depends on space exploration, but they’re running out of time. Parasitic insects are systematically killing the best scientific minds but no one knows why.

Mable Wilkinson is the last hope to figure it out, she just doesn’t know it yet. For years, her resourcefulness, intelligence, and penchant for problem-solving have put her at the top of a very short list of researchers, only she doesn’t want to be part of it.

Cast out at sixteen, Mable wrote off the problems of the world long ago. Now, her focus is on Hadley, her adopted little sister, and teaching her to survive in the cut-throat underground. Instead, both Mable and Hadley fall into the hands of the program’s recruiter, Silas Arrenstein, and he’s determined to have one of them. Mable can join up with the man and program who killed her brother, or she can leave Hadley to the same fate.

My Review:
The Killing Jar follows the story of several different people. Some live on Earth and some don't. The Earth is dying at a rapid pace and its ability to sustain life is growing smaller each day that goes by. Within a century this ability will be completely gone. There are researchers that are trying to find somewhere to live while there are those on Earth just trying to survive. Several of the people end up messing up and being put in a special facility where they are trained to go on top secret, dangerous missions. It's either that or be sent somewhere awful to die a slow death from the haze that now covers Earth. Some stories I found a little more confusing than others, but with this being the first in a series, I hope to see more in the next book. I did have lots of questions about the book and besides so many story lines, my only other complaint really is that just about the time things start coming together as pieces of a puzzle do, the book ends...Otherwise, this is a pretty cool and interesting science fiction read.

Release Blitz for Blossom and the Beast by R.S. McCoy

Blossom and the Beast
Author: RS McCoy
A Beauty and the Beast Retelling
Release Date: May 31, 2016

Blurb:

*A Paranormal Romance retelling of Beauty and the Beast*

Blossom Frane is only weeks away from her transformation. On her eighteenth birthday, she’ll find out her future branch of society and her totem, the animal form she’ll be able to take at will for the rest of her life. Determined to spend her last weeks exploring the Alderwood, Blossom sneaks away and manages to find Kaide Landel, a rising political star of the Pyro branch. Known for his violence and disregard for the religious teachings of the Terra branch, he’s all wrong for the bear clan’s prized daughter. My Review:
I loved this book! Beauty and the Beast has long been my favorite old school Disney movie and this book has some serious undertones with Beauty and the Beast references. Sometimes this doesn't work so well, but here the references are perfectly placed and pulled at my heart strings. Especially the end scene with Kaide. I won't pretend I wasn't frustrated with Blossom for a while because of her attitude. At the same time, there were so many factors playing into it that I could understand why the attitude from her and the way he is. Kaide is way out of his element when it comes to the beautiful woman he bartered for as his future wife. She is wild and untameable; a trait he admires in her because he recognizes a kindred spirit. The ending was just emotionally wracking. Like stitches being torn out of a raw wound. It is a serious cliffhanger. But I cannot wait to see more from this series!!

I adored the characters (especially Kaide but also Blossom -- she's such a strong-willed character!) the story, and McCoy's wonderful and gripping writing style. BooksEnchanted

The story is fast paced and apart from Blossom and Kaide's romance, there is plenty of suspense, political manipulation and intrigue in Kaide's career as a politician that will affect and change his and Blossom's lives forever! All this and more is handled with ease by RS McCoy and I loved her writing style and know that I will be checking out her other books too while I wait for the next book in this series.
