Blurb:

River,

When I find myself face to face with Lucifer, I realize that what he wants from me could destroy Hell and the world. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for those I love, but I’m not sure I can do what is necessary to stop Lucifer’s plans… even if I’m the only one who can.

Kobal,

As the battle for Hell rages, the line between enemies and allies blurs. To protect River, I will do whatever it takes to destroy Lucifer and reclaim my throne. With Hell torn apart, I know two things for certain, many will perish, and nothing will ever be the same again.

Find out how it all ends in the epic conclusion to The Road to Hell Series.

***The final book in this paranormal romance series. Due to sexual content, violence, and language, this book is recommended for readers 18+ years of age.***

Review:

This. This book tore me up in places. It was absolutely gut wrenching at times. Full of action and suspense, the last in this particular series will not disappoint! And to be honest, it seems like every hope and possibility that Kobal and River get comes with some terrible consequence or revelation. And there are some serious revelations in this. Be prepared for loss, shock, and amazement!

New Release and Review for The Road (Road to Hell Book 3) by Brenda K. Davies

NEW RELEASE!!
The Road (Road to Hell Book 3)
by Brenda K. Davies

Blurb:

River,
Standing at the edge of the gateway, I understand two things. One, I have no idea what I’m doing. Two, the gateway to Hell is not closing. Now, there may be only one option left to me, to all of us. I may have to enter the one place I’d hoped to avoid throughout this journey. I may have to enter Hell.
Unfortunately, a change in events takes the choice away from me.

Kobal,
I always knew the idea of River entering into Hell could become a reality, but I expected her to be by my side when, or if, it happened. I expected to be there to protect her, but she’s gone in alone. Now, not only am I trying to catch up with her, but I know Lucifer will soon learn of her entrance into my world, and he will be after her too.
I just don’t know which one of us will reach her first.

***There will be at least four books in this series. Not all things will be resolved in this book. Due to graphic language, violence and sexual content this book is recommended for readers 18+ years of age.***

Review:
Intense! Things only become more and more intense as the series goes on! More secrets are spilled causing River some doubts and causing Kobal to rethink his strategy when it comes to keeping things from her "for her own good". Some serious fighting happens and super surprising moments. Yeah, they follow the road down into hell and it is hot. And loaded with danger. Then there is this super creepy carnival...oh yeah. That part could give me nightmares. Coming from this author, the level of creeptasticness is surprising and cool because she definitely pulls it off well!

NEW RELEASE AND REVIEW FOR Carved (Road to Hell Book 2) by Brenda K. Davies

Blurb:

River,
As the perilous journey across a country I’d long thought destroyed begins, I don’t know who I am anymore or what I’m becoming. My abilities grow stronger with each passing day, as does the fear of what comes next. All I know is that I will do anything to avoid becoming like Lucifer, and to protect those I love, even if that means protecting them from me.

Kobal,
No matter what it takes, I will keep River safe, even if my actions end up driving a wedge between us. River is mine to protect, no matter how hard that might be to do now that our journey has begun. I won’t stop until Lucifer is destroyed, won’t stop until I claim my throne, and she will be by my side when I do. It’s all just a matter of keeping her alive until then.

***This Series will follow Kobal and River throughout. Not all things will be resolved in this book. Due to graphic language, violence and sexual content this book is recommended for readers 18+ years of age.***

Review:
This author continues to surprise me. I finished Carved in about 24 hours even though it wasn't really a short novel. I was rather engrossed in the book as River and Kobal's journey progressed further. In this book they leave the relative safety of the wall and start towards the opening to Hell. Unfortunately they encounter some nasty demons and...things along the way. There are human casualties as well as a few humans who are barely keeping it together as they watch the atrocities unfolding. I mean, you've got gargoyles, screaming blood lusty vines, and a creepy angel room. It's no wonder people are losing it. Whereas the first book was not as scary, this one is definitely demon and the pits of Hell oriented. One of my favorite things in this book were the skelleins. They were hilarious and yet kind of creepy. But I would love to see more of them! Can't wait until the next book in the series comes out. I am hooked!

Release Day and Review for Good Intentions (Road To Hell Book 1) by Brenda K Davies

Blurb:

River,

It has been thirteen years since the war started, the bombs were dropped, and the central states became a thing of the past. When the war ended, a wall was erected to divide the surviving states from those destroyed. I never expected to go beyond the wall but unlike all the others who volunteered to go, I wasn’t given a choice.

With a dim knowledge of what I could do, the soldiers came for me. They took me beyond the wall where I learned that the truth is far more terrifying than I’d ever dreamed. Alone, with humans and demons seeking to learn what it is I can do, I find myself irresistibly drawn to the one man I should be avoiding most. One who intrigues and infuriates me. One who is not even a man, not really.

Kobal,

My entire life, I’ve had only one mission, reclaim my throne from Lucifer and put right everything that was torn apart when he was cast from Heaven. It’s a mission I haven’t wavered from, not even when the humans tore open the gates and unleashed Hell on earth.

Now, I’ve never been closer to obtaining my goal yet I find myself risking it all because I cannot stay away from her, a human who may be the key to it all.

***This Series will follow Kobal and River throughout. Not all things will be resolved in this book. Due to graphic language, violence and sexual content this book is recommended for readers 18+ years of age.***

Review:

Once again, this author has gone and created a world that I particularly cannot get enough of!  While demons are something new for her to write about, I feel like she did one heck of a job.  In a story that begins with the earth going into something of a man-made apocalypse, River's life forever changes as things become even harder for her while she tries to care for and provide food for her younger brother, and years later it's for her two little brothers along with her dead beat, useless mother.  River's mother dislikes her to an amount that makes me want to cringe inside.  Really.  None of the fathers of the three children ever stuck around long and it seems that River's father might have just been a drifter.  That is until she is forcibly taken away on volunteer day to work at the wall, where people go to train and fight what they think are other humans.  Boy are they dead wrong on that one.  When they get there, they get a rude awakening that what they are actually fighting are demons coming straight from Hell itself.  Man tore open a hole and now they are wreaking havoc.  Some of the demons want to restore order and get rid of Lucifer, so they are helping the humans.  The main one is Kobal.  He is in charge and looking for a specific person among the humans.  One who has special abilities like River.  While River was taken away forcibly from her family, she finds an ever-growing attraction between her and Kobal.  Things get a little steamy between the two of them when they aren't fighting each other, literally and figuratively.  Loved this read and definitely recommend it!  Can't wait to see more of this series!
