Cover Reveal for Reaper by Geri Glenn

3..2..1..

COVER & BLURB REVEAL

Anna

I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life.  In fact, some of them almost ruined me. But I am a good person.  I want to make amends.  I want to fix things with my sister and finally have my life back.  I want to change, and I’m trying.  But I just can't let the past go.

Reaper doesn't make it easy for me. He hates me with a passion.  He’s vowed to do whatever he can to get me out of my sister’s life and away from his club.  It doesn’t matter. He won't stop me.  No matter how terrified of him I am, nothing is going to stop me from changing my destiny and trying to fix the wrongs from my past. Especially when my secret is discovered, giving him all the ammunition he needs.

Reaper

After what seems like an endless stream of problems, things are finally going well with the club.  We’re finally getting back to some semblance of normal after the chaos she brought with her before she was sent away.  But now she’s back.

She says she’s changed, and maybe she has, but I don’t care.  She is the reason it all started, and she’s not welcome here.  I will stop at nothing to get her out.  I won’t rest until she’s gone.  Her beauty will not distract me, and her history doesn’t even matter.  I will get Anna away from my club, or die trying.

There will be no pre-order for Reaper.  The expected release date will be mid-late October.  To be sure you don't miss the release, be sure to sign up for Geri's mailing list so you can be guaranteed an email on release day or follow her on Amazon.

Geri Glenn is the debut author of the Kings of Korruption MC Series. The first book, titled Ryker, is releasing on August 14, 2015, and can be read as a standalone.

Geri has been an avid reader for as long as she can remember. She can usually be found curled up in a comfy chair, reading on her iPad both day and night. Geri is an incurable night owl, and it's not uncommon for her to still be awake, reading at 4 am, just because she can't put the book down!

Geri loves all genres of fiction, but her passion is anything romantic or terrifying; basically anything that can get her heart pumping. This passion has bled out onto her laptop, and became the Kings of Korruption.

Writing this first book in the series knocked off the #1 thing on Geri's bucket list, and publishing it has been an absolute dream come true. She hopes you love the Kings as much as she does.

The Reapers by Ali Winters

Synopsis: The balance of life and death must be kept at all costs.

Having been a reaper as long as she can remember, Nivian knows that what she does is essential in maintaining balance. After being assigned to a rushed mark she finds that there is more to this human than any other she has encountered.
Kain had been living an ordinary life without a second thought until he meets Nivian who turns his world upside down. He is thrust into a world of hunters and reapers. The keepers of life and death have been feuding for centuries over a reason no one can even remember.

With Kain having been marked for reaping, and Nivian being hunted, they forge a friendship and together must find the truth in order to keep balance in check. Wrong choices could destroy everything. As they journey they discover hidden histories, powers, and lies and truths that have been spun since the beginning of time. The consequence of failure, unimaginable.

Author Bio:
Ali grew up in the Pacific North West. She attended Oregon State University for photography. After many adventures she moved to Colorado and earning second degree, she found and met and married her husband. Ali currently lives in windy Wyoming with her husband and two dogs. When not writing Ali is either photographing, knitting, reading, dancing, or staying inside where it’s warm with a hot cup of coffee and dreaming of traveling the world someday soon.
Excerpt:
Jumping over the edge of the bridge, Nivian landed with a soft tap on the surface of the water. She reached down, pulled the soul of the driver up by the collar of his shirt, and stood him up next to her on top of the water. She took the driver’s hand, palm up, in hers and waved her other hand over his. Pinching the air, she pulled, lifting up and exposing his life thread, his wide eyes were hypnotized by the glowing string of light. Grabbing the scythe strapped to her back she swung. With a slow, deliberate movement Nivian sliced the human’s life thread. The light formed a ball and hovered as she pulled out a small pocket watch. The life energy floated down to the watch and sunk into it, disappearing. With a snap, she closed the watch and returned it to her pocket.
“You really shouldn’t drink and drive; you could have seriously hurt someone,” she said, giving him an apathetic look.
He gaped at her, mouth opening and closing like a fish.
“Yes, you really are dead,” she confirmed as she turned away.
“Are you … the devil?” he finally managed to sputter.
“No, of course not. I am just the natural order of things,” she said, looking over her shoulder at him “Wait here. Your spirit counselor will be here soon to guide you to your afterlife. I have other jobs tonight.” She turned, walking away as she pulled her hood back up over her head and vanished.

Graveyard Shift by Angela Roquet

This book is no doubt a mishmash of different religions and faiths all brought together in a rather sacrilegious story about a three-hundred-year-old girl named Lana that is a reaper of souls.  She is low on the totem pole in Limbo City and has no aspirations of greatness.  She doesn't want the lime light or extra responsibility.  Her boss, Grim (the original reaper), has other plans for her.  He doesn't trust Lana, that's for sure, but someone has recommended her for a certain task because of her unique ability to see more into a soul than the other reapers do.  It's the reason why she bends the rules so often for them.  It turns out that Maalik is the one who has gotten her this new job she didn't ask for in the first place.  Maalik likes Lana a lot, and few could resist his looks and charm.  However, Lana keeps him at arms length and does her best to keep it that way.  But it's hard to do with him popping up so often and now being on the council with Grim.  Not to mention, her life is starting to spiral out of control now with this new job.  She and the others on her team are looking for a soul to replace a thousand-year-old woman named Khadija.  She is very powerful.  In fact, she is the one that created Lana and made sure that she had the unique ability she does so that one day there would be someone to find a replacement for her.  If they don't find the replacement, Hell is going to break loose.  And unfortunately it's starting to slowly happen already.  Lana's team is repeatedly attacked by demons when they go out to harvest the souls on their list.  It seems like they always know when and where they will be, which makes Lana think there's an inside man spilling secrets.  Still, she must finish the job and try to stay alive in the process, which could prove tricky.

My first thought when I started reading this book was one word: weird.  And it is definitely weird.  But mainly because it introduces ideas and a story that are new to me as a reader.  It's a unique look at the after life, and although I don't harbor the belief that it will be anything like this when we die, it was a very entertaining and different read.  I really liked the story line and the uniqueness of the book really does go a long way.  It pushes your thoughts and imagination to stretch beyond the normal box of our minds.  If you are looking for something new and different, then this is it!

Organ Reapers by Shay West

Eli gets up most mornings hung over and grouchy.  He gets his coffee to keep him going and makes his way to work.  His outlook on life is a little cynical these days every since he and his wife divorced.  She was a cheater and he hadn't hesitated to file for divorce.  Now he was just married to his job as a detective.  No more fighting with her about him not putting her first.  When Ava comes into his life, things change.  They start chasing after the ghost of some crazed killer going around taking other's internal organs.  The thing is that they have no evidence and no leads.  As the bodies pile up, people get nervous and the chief is wanting answers.  But there are just none to give.  That is until Tani and Keena show up in jail.  They look like they are dressed for medieval times, and their food looks the same.  It seems that they know nothing of modern conveniences, but they say they know everything about the killings and how to stop it.  The only thing is that the ones murdering people are from a different world, and they used to be some of these killers.  Eli just can't wrap his head around the idea and thinks it's some kind of cult.  Ava is a little easier to convince.
Tani and Keena were Harvesters in their world.  They went to Earth and killed people, taking their internal organs for whomever needed them in their world.  If someone's heart was failing them, then they would go retrieve a new heart that fit the person needing it.  The job was a very prestigious one and afforded both of their families a life of luxury that they never would have had otherwise.  After a while though, the job starts to wear on them and they no longer wish to be Harvesters.  But quitting isn't really an option so they run.  They end up finding Eli and Ava and hope that the two will help them stop Master Kehlar, the man behind it all.  To stop him they must destroy the machines that make the gateways to Earth.  First they have to convince Eli and Ava that they're telling the truth.  Then they must all come up with a good plan.  Two things that seem like an impossibility.

The title of this book had me a little on edge about reading it.  It sounded like one of those super gory and bloody books about sadistic crimes.  Well it wasn't like that.  I actually really enjoyed reading the book and found in rather fascinating.  It is a convergence of two worlds in a way.  Tani and Keena are from a world that, although seems so different, is more like a less advanced version of our own when the steam engines were still around.  A time when it was inappropriate for a man and woman to be alone together if they weren't married.  Things in this world are much simpler.  It's quieter without cars and such passing by all of the time.  The people take the authority's word at face value no matter what he says almost always.  Tani and Keena's defection was unheard of and an act of treason.  Should they get caught, they would hang from the gallows for their crimes.  Master Kehlar is a prideful man who will do whatever he must to stop them.  An evil and darkness has seeped into him.  Pride is one of the big downfalls of man, even if they are from another world.

My questions about the book?
-Are there actually gods, demons, and such in Tani and Keena's world that were behind the visions and Master Kehlar's obsession with the gateways?
-Where did the modernized medical equipment come from in Tani and Keena's world?
-What happened to Satrick?
-Do Eli and Ava ever have a relationship?
-Who was now ruling Tani and Keena's world?

The Death Collectors Series by Jessica Sorensen

The silence of a heart...the shadow of trees...the blackened lake.  Bones Breaking.  Someone can't breathe.  It hurts...there's so much blood.  A last breath is strangled away.  A red "x" stains it all.  An empty hour glass.  Murder.

Ember Edwards has a very unique gift.  She knows how someone will die just by touching them.  And she occasionally sees the Grim Reaper hanging out around her.  It's more than just a little creepy and with having to stare death in the face so much it wears on Ember quite a bit.  There are down sides to having such a gift.  She found out long ago people were not accepting of it.  Like when her father went missing and she called the police saying that he was going to die.  While she was just trying to stop it, it made her a prime suspect.  They never found his body.
Two new guys show up at her school and the weird thing is that she can't sense their deaths.  One of them; Cameron, makes her feel like she is coming unraveled when she touches him while the other; Asher keeps her calm.  Ember starts having feelings towards Asher, but is still attracted to Cameron as well.
While she deals with the two of them, Ember starts learning about Angels of Death, Grim Reapers, and Grim Angels (which are a product of the two plus human blood).  Grim Angels are tortured souls.  Easily depressed because of their "gift" of seeing death, their minds can break because of it and they go insane.  The more that Ember learns, the more she wonders whether she is a Grim Angel.

Who are Asher and Cameron really?

In the second book, Ember is an even more precarious situation.  If her life wasn't threatened enough in the first book, it's even more so now.  She has to come to terms with her blood line and the fact that she may become the very last Grim Angel left.  If so, she must make a choice between good and evil.  But first she must survive the taunting of the Reapers.  They constantly mess with her mind and the whole town is getting crazy possessed by them.  Ember's "gift" has also evolved some and now she can see dead people as well.
Cameron has found a way into Ember's thoughts and now is her constant companion whether she likes it or not.  He insists that he cares about her and is just trying to help, but Ember has her doubts about that fact.  She misses Asher.  He had to leave at the end of the last book and hasn't been seen since.
Later in the book Asher suddenly returns.  He can no longer stand by and just watch while Ember is in so much danger.  Ember's own brother tried to kill her because he has given in to his Reaper blood.  Raven, her best friend, is possessed by the most powerful man/Reaper around.  Everyone is out to get Ember but Cameron and Asher.  But can she even trust them?  Her dad always said to never trust anyone.  Maybe he was right.

"Everyone thinks I'm a traitor and Michael made...he made me..." He sucks in a sharp breath  and the words spill out of him. "He made me human again, or at least, stripped me of my wings."
My jaw drops. "Like your mother?"
"Yes," he whispers, shutting his eyes. "I've been banished."  (Asher and Ember)

This series is a real mind bender!  It's like a thriller/paranormal/romance wrapped all into one!  The thriller side being the mental side of it.  Ember has to deal with a lot of mental hardship as she sees things that she always has to question whether they are real or not.  Then there is death every step of the way.  It tortures her to no extent that she cannot touch anyone without seeing their death every single time she touches them.  Then there is Ember's family.  They seem just as crazy as she is, or worse.  Her mother drinks and does drugs.  Her brother is on depression medicine.  He smokes pot a lot and stays closed up in the attic painting.  Then there was her dad.  He used to steal cars until his disappearance.  Naturally, Asher and Cameron offer her somethings that she didn't think she would ever have.  But a normal life is not one of them.  And in the end, the decisions she makes will shape what happens to humans and Angels for the rest of eternity.
There are two versions of this series.  There is this version and then there is the adult version.  For the adult version look for Ember-X or Cinder-X.  They are more explicit and romance oriented, while still giving it an air of suspense and danger!
