She’s hiding from everyone…

I don’t need a happily ever after filled with fake promises, animosity and eventually a divorce to be content. I’m living the dream…my dream, regardless of what anyone thinks of me. My meager life was perfect until a cocky football player wormed his way into my existence.

Once upon a time, I played an unconscious role in my own life, a mistake I have no plans of repeating. I pride myself with my outspoken and frequently excessive nature. It’s the consistent reminder of the person I refuse to become ever again.

He’s the ultimate playboy…

Life is perfect. I’ve lived and breathed football since I was a kid, and now I’m making millions playing in the NFL. I keep women around for one reason, but never the same one. The only attachments I need are family and friends but life has a bizarre way of proving a person wrong. When a concussion leaves my best-friend’s life spinning out of control, the last thing I expected was to meet an outrageous woman who leaves me begging for more.

She lives in New York.
I live in Arizona.

She promised me one night, but I discovered that’s not enough. Now, I need to figure out if I’m a pro off the field because I’m about to play the biggest game of my life.

Clarence (A K-3 Story) by Stephanie Baruffi

Clarence: A Story about an Italian Boy with Big Ears and Big Problems (Ages K-3)

Clarence is the story of an Italian boy who doesn't look like the rest of his dark-haired, dark-skinned family. He is quiet and shy and cannot understand why his family is so loud! Most of all, Clarence feels left out at school because the kids tease him about his big ears. They bully him and taunt him because he doesn't look like the rest of them, or so they think!

This story reflects the feelings we all can have when we don't think we fit in. It demonstrates that with a little "reflection" we can all discover that we are beautifully and wonderfully made!

Stephanie Baruffi is an Early Literacy Specialist who lives in New Jersey with her husband Art and their three sons. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rowan University with a Masters in Reading Education in 2014. Her grandfather Clarence, who passed away in 2012, inspired this book. He loved his big family too and truly did have a big, beautiful set of ears!

Excerpt: The students headed outside to the large wooden playground. As usual, Clarence walked around the playground alone. That is until Giovanna and Vinny pushed him from behind. Clarence turned to face them when Vinny grabbed Clarence by the shoulders and pushed him again. This time, Clarence flew backward and hit his back against a wooden pole near the slide. Clarence began to get angry, but then he took a deep breath. He realized this was his chance. He was finally able to say what he wanted to say for so long.

New Release and Review for Courting Chaos by Lynne Barron

Blurb:

What happens when London's longest reigning rake decides to make mischief?
Born of scandal and raised in squalor, Miss Harry O'Connell turned her back on her feckless, frivolous father and carved out a life for herself in the working-class neighborhood of Wellclose Square. She's a creature of habit, a stickler for schedules, a keeper of secrets, and a woman adamantly opposed to wasting so much a single minute - let alone a spare shilling - on useless endeavors, sentimental nonsense or impossible expectations.
Opposites attract...
With three men standing between Phineas Griffith and the nearest title, he was perfectly content to float through life on a wave of mistakes, mishaps, coincidences and luck. Two unfortunate accidents and an apoplectic fit later, the new Viscount Knighton finds himself saddled with a decimated estate, a mountain of debt and two sisters in need of launching into Society in tandem. There's really nothing for it but to woo and wed an heiress post haste.
Orbits align...
An unwelcome visit from the Earl of Dunaway puts Harry on a collision course with the handsome fortune-hunter, and wreaks havoc with her meticulously managed, precisely timed and exactingly organized life.
Worlds collide...
Phineas cannot afford the luxury of falling in love with a prickly, pragmatic and penniless woman. Harry hasn't the time or inclination to dally with a charming rake when all her considerable talents are aimed at laying waste to all the Earl of Dunaway holds dear.
And chaos ensues.
Some forces are greater than gravity and some chances worth taking. Can these two star crossed-lovers find the wherewithal to risk it all for a happily-ever-after that defies all odds?

Review:
Lately I've had a particular penchant for historical romance and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. This is not the first time I've read something by this author. I really enjoyed the last book as well. This one however, hit at my heart strings a little more. The thing that got to me the most was about remorse and regret, and the difference between the two. We all have done things we probably shouldn't have, but that doesn't mean we should regret them. Our past actions bring us to the place we are now. And that is something that Harry learns in this book. It seems that through most of the book, she's so preoccupied with getting vengeance and bringing Dunaway down that she is blinded by it and unable to see through to the real person beneath not just in him but Phineas as well. And Phineas, let's just say he has no idea who he's dealing with when it comes to Harry. He makes so many blunders, but he is more than she thinks he is. Harry's a wily one and very smart. In fact, of all the characters in the book, I believe she's the smartest until it comes down to matters of the heart. That she shields and protects at all costs. I find it very hard to dislike Dunaway in this series. More and more tidbits about him are unveiled, showing that he is indeed more than a rake chasing after loose skirts and siring children all over the place. Another great read!
5 out of 5 stars!

Why would I want to read the Elkridge Series?  Each book in the Elkridge series is a piece to a puzzle—a suspenseful mystery involving the murder of a small-town sheriff. You get six contemporary romance books to figure out the mystery and a bunch of happy ever after (HEA) endings. Two novels in this fiction series—Blinded and Orphaned—are award-winning romance books.
Where is Elkridge, Colorado?  Elkridge exists only in my mind. On any given day, I can stop at River Creek Café for Jenna's fresh baked cinnamon rolls, or shop for a birthday present at Mara's Blooms, or get my nails done at Kym’s nail salon. Sitting in the park eating lunch, I can watch the kids play and hear the latest gossip from neighbors. Later, if I want, I can stop at Mad Jack’s to hear a local band play and get some dinner. Elkridge is a great small town where the sun shines 360 days a year and people do their best to make ends meet.
Would you tell us about your writing process?  It takes me awhile to write each stand-alone story because I am passionate about creating the very best stories for my readers. These contemporary romance books have complex plots and sub-plots and include suspense romance threads, with deep emotional women’s fiction elements, humor and even a bit of quirkiness. ABANDONED: Frequently Asked Questions: (FAQ)
Sheriff Joe shows up in ABANDONED several times. Does this mean there are more clues as to who (OR WHOM?) murdered Sheriff Sam?
Absolutely. Joe is still trying to catch a killer, but he’s not the only character presenting clues in this book.  Don’t forget, I’ve slipped in a few red herrings to keep you guessing.
I was surprised to see a poem in this book. What inspired you to add it?
I’ve been writing poetry for years. The challenge was to create a poem that Chase’s character would write—something corny, simple, and amateurish. I didn’t want the poem to look like it could be a Pulitzer winner—thus you have Chase’s love poem to Ashley.
Where did the inspiration for Ashley’s father come from?
-->
My father was a Marine. My brother was in the Navy. My husband was in the Air Bourne.  I have friends that have served in both the Army and Air Force. Basically, I respect those in the military for their sacrifices and challenges. While I know many military families move  as their assignments change, I’ve had two friends in my life where a military parent has chosen to create a stable base for their spouse and kids, and return home whenever possible. This type of arrangement is unusual, but it does happen. I wanted to explore the family structure and how each person must live with the sacrifice.
